I agree, they had such lovely scenes together in the premiere, and by the end they are apart again, for now at least. And it’s probably going to feel like an eternity before they are sharing screen time again. TB knows how to hit right in the feels! :)

Here’s the paradox of Eric. He’ll have loud raunchy shipping container sex with Nora with Bill just outside, and strut over to Sookie in his birthday suit after she interrupts him banging Yvetta. But mention his emotions and he gets bashful as a boy.

Yes. All of his bravado goes right out the door when he has to say something real to Sookie. He’s a sweet man, under it all.

Can I just say how amazing and sweet and heartbreaking it was to have Sookie and Eric standing in the exact spot on her front stairs where they first kissed when he had amnesia??? Because it was all of those things and I love them Soooo-oooo-oooo much.

Eric and Sookie have had some very nice moments on her porch in seasons 3 and 4. I like it when he walks her home. Their conversation is just so comfortable.

They are always so honest with each other. It’s lovely to see that in this show with plots, lies, and trickery.

And her swallow before she rescinds his invitation. It hurts her to do it and she knows it hurts him. But it must be done.

Even in the midst of chaos, there is still sexual tension and affection and concern. I almost can’t stand it!

I love the way Stephen decided to shoot this. With the camera at a low angle, it really feels like things are falling apart all around them AND lets us see how frightened they both are. ALSO, in that second gif, it’s almost like he’s going to kiss her the way he leans into her. GAH.
